Off the three pairs of cufflinks I've made so far, these are my favourite! They are reticulated circles, they look like little moons. The texture is beautiful, they are oxidised to emphasise this texture.

Completely unique, no two pairs would ever be alike.

Reticulation is achieved by heating the silver almost to melting point, cooling and then cleaning it repeatedly, somewhere between 10 and 15 times. Each time the silver is heated more of the copper content is brought to the surface and is then removed, leaving behind fine silver. Once this is achieved I can use the flame to play about until I get a finish I am happy with.

As you can imagine they take quite a while to make!

These are approximately 15mm in diameter and joined by a chain.

All my jewellery is solid silver and I am registered at the Birmingham Assay office.

Silver items weighing less than 7.78g do not legally require hallmarking.
