This is a beautiful reticulated ring. What does reticulated mean I here you ask! Well, sterling silver is made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. The copper is added to strengthen the silver.

By reticulating the ring I have removed the copper content and left only pure silver so these are approximately 99.9% pure silver. This is done by repeatedly heating the disc with a torch, almost to melting point. It is then quenched and pickled to clean it. This is then repeated at least 15 times, a lengthy process. It's worth it though as no two effects are ever alike.

It is beautifully textured and very eye catching. There are also matching earrings.

The disc is approximately 12mm in diameter. This ring is an O, but can be made in any size.
