RETICULATED RING
Reticulation is one of my favourite jewellery processes.
Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. The copper is added to give the metal strength.
To reticulate the surface I will heat the metal to almost melting point at least 12 times. Cooling and cleaning in between each heating. By doing this the copper is burnt off leaving behind 99.9% fine silver. Once I've achieved this I can play with the flame from my torch and create ripples and texture. Making every piece totally individual.
Size N. But can be made to any size.
All my jewellery is solid silver and I am registered at the Birmingham Assay office.
Silver items weighing less than 7.78g do not legally require hallmarking.
If an item is showing as sold out, please don’t panic! All my pieces are available for pre-order. Please follow the ordering instructions on the website and I will make the item just for you!
If you are ordering with a specific date in mind, please contact me to check that I can have it ready for you.
